Finally ..Valentine's Day

Yep, I'm late posting these but hey what the heck !

As you can guess these are my Valentine cards that I gave to my family.  Rest assured they got them on time. In fact, I had them all resting on the kitchen counter with a little candy treat beside each one.
Now considering they are all young adults 19 - 21, they were like little kids opening their cards and munching their treats - chocolate at 7:30 am before they all headed off for classes!!!

The first card was for my daughter's boyfriend. He is staying with us while he does the didactic portion of his apprenticeship. He'll be heading home at the end of the month. Home for him is his family farm about 40 minutes from here. So....given his family are sheep farmers it only seemed appropriate that he get the "Love Ewe" card.

The second card was for my niece, yep she is living here as well. She is here studying nursing while her family lives in Saskatchewan.  She is a no frills kinda of lady so something more simple and not too mushy was needed. LOL ! Btw her chocolate treat was a little chocolate man wearing heart boxers !
He was so darn cute!

The final card if you haven't already guessed was for my daughter. She loves pink so naturally her card had to have pink in it. I just loved the little mailbox,  kinda thought it would tie in with the rural theme of her boyfriend's.

All the images are from Unity Stamp Company - Itty Bitty Collection. I have become so addicted to these images over the past year.
They are just so darn scrumptiously cute !!

It was a fun Valentine for them and they all seemed genuinely touched by their treats.  As a mom does it really get any better than that?
I wonder if I will ever stop giving my daughter a valentine card.... I think not :-)

Did you know she still loves her Easter Egg hunt on Easter morning !
I love that we continue to keep that spirit of fun alive in our home.

My daughter and her boyfriend took in the Eric Church concert on Valentine's evening. They had VIP tickets for a private warm up session then off to the main concert. They had an incredible time !
Jake's boot was signed and paraded around the stage by Eric Church during one of his songs. Obviously Jake is no longer wearing those boots - they are safely stored away for the memories.

I was the chauffeur back and forth to the concert and let me tell you those two were pumped !!
I'm so glad to be a part of their lives  - I wouldn't change it for a minute.

Here is a snapshot of them with the signed boot and smiles from an awesome evening !

Have a beautiful week !

Hugs,
Diane
