I hope everyone had a wonderful week. The weather here continues to be all over the map.
A couple of days ago we had the most beautiful snowfall of the season. A total of 25cm ! the ground looked incredible minus the cars stuck everywhere :-)
Our little pug, JD pretty much got lost when he went out. I wish I had taken a picture of his face all covered in snow. The look on his face melted my heart !
With the abundance of snow I figured it was a great reason to stay inside and craft Yeah!. I spent my weekend doing exactly that. I made some cards, scrapbooked and worked on my art journal. I even indulged myself by curling up with a cup of coffee, blanket and my iPad to check out some art class videos. Woo hoo pure heaven !
If you get a chance check out some of the classes offered by Brave Girls Club . I have been following their blog. They are an incredibly positive couple of sisters intent on helping women discover themselves through art, love and friendship. I love what they are doing!
It inspired me to complete my art journal page that I posted here. This page really started out with me thinking that I don't seem to have enough time to do all the things I'd like. As I kept working on it I realized I actually did have plenty of time I just sometimes filled it with things that perhaps were not as nurturing to me. An aha moment for sure because by the end of this page I had carved out in my mind what I would change to allow me to spend more time being creative.
This page is done with acrylic paint, markers and crayons. I added some jewels, card board embellies, and stamped images. I added a wonderful quote that I had come across to complete it.
Here it is incase you aren't able to read it on my page.
There comes a time when the world gets quiet and the only thing that is left is your own heart. So you'd better learn the sound of it otherwise you'll never know what its saying.
Isn't this so true, with that thought I'll leave you to listen to your heart.
Have a wonderful rest of the weekend,
Hugs,
Diane
