Beauty is everywhere

Everywhere I look there is something beautiful before my eyes. At this time of year, for me it's often found in the flowers that are showing themselves in my garden. There is no doubt one of the favourite things about my home ( there are many) is my gardens. They are not large however they are lovingly filled with flowers & shrubs that make me smile. A spring beauty is always the lilacs like these that I cut and filled the bucket with. Their fragrance and beauty just makes the smile.

Then as the summer begins to progress it's the hostas, day lilies and baskets of annuals that accent our home. Yes, the gardens require lots of care and maintenance but they truly are labours of love. As I type this post I'm sitting on my porch, sipping my coffee, grateful for the soft rain that is falling to nourish my gardens. I can't think of anything more beautiful and peaceful than this. The best part is as I look out the beauty is everywhere and I didn't even have to look hard for it. It presented itself to me all on its own.

Given the rain falling at the moment, I'll putz around the house tidying things up then settle into my craft space to work on a dress my daughter would like for an upcoming wedding she'll be attending.
 I'll also make some cards, I feel an urge to colour so what better way than to make a card or two!
