Happy Mother's Day !

I made this pretty card for my mother in law.  She has always loved cards and I know she appreciates them even more when I make it for her.

She likes them so much that at Christmas I often will make her a set of cards as part of her gift. I try to mix them up for the various occasions throughout the year.  

This card today is just for her though along with a beautiful bouquet of roses.  She can enjoy the roses in her home all week long.

Happy Mother's Day Mom !!!

My daughter and her boyfriend surprised me by coming in to go to church with me and then took me out for lunch. It was thoughtful of them. Then to top it off they spoiled me with a beautiful pair of cowboy boots. I have wanted a pair for a long time and now I have them. I told them the boots can cover my birthday gift too !


I plan to have a quiet day around home after church. I'll curl up with a good book ( I have a few on the go...), sip some coffee while the pets all try to snuggle on my lap. It will be a wonderful day even if the pets keep wrestling with each other for space on my lap.

Perhaps I'll even find time to craft a little, although no guarantee as the grass needs to be cut and I wouldn't mind working on the garden if the weather is nice. 

Ok it is Mother's day so perhaps the grass can wait...
