I thought I would take the day off work today, life has been a little chaotic so I thought a day to myself might just be good for me.
So here I am enjoying a nice cup of vanilla flavoured coffee...mmm my fav and watching the snow fall outside the window. A pleasant moment! I figure I have just the perfect card to post for today Kraftin' Kimmie's - Willard. He is just so darn cute !!!
Unfortunately, the photo doesn't do the card justice - the colours are truly vibrant and the hunter green mat paper is actually a velveteen paper. I absolutely scored on this a pkg. of 12 sheets for $2.00 in the clearance bin!!!! Gotta love a bargain...
Willard was coloured with Copics and Prisma pencils. I love my pencils! A couple of months ago I went to Stamping Bella with my dear friend and her daughter to take a Copic class with Linda Heavens... that lady is my stamping idol her colouring is unbelievable. I was so excited to be taking a class with her I actually had to calm myself down before I walked into the class I was like a little kid jumping up & down. My girlfriend laughed 'cause she never seen me get this excited. I quickly became addicted to using the pencils as a way to step up the look of my cards, still need to practice however I am getting there.
..back to the card ... the cardstock is Stampin'Up's Elegant Eggplant, and the green matting was layered with DP from Best Creation Inc. FaLaLa Christmas. A few little snowflake embellies finishes it off just perfect!
The Copics used were:
E0000, E000, E00, R20, W00
E17, E35, E25, E74B, 100
B52, B000, V09, BV00, RV29, and R24
I hope you think Willard is as a cute as I do!
Have a wonderful day!
Diane
