For whatever reason I have had lots of ideas but just lacked the motivation to actually complete something. I am so glad that along with the ideas I also completed lots of things last evening and today.
I'll share them all because I'm just so darn happy with them. I touched on some sewing, cards and even some pages in my art journal. All this on top of my housework and a little nap this afternoon with the puppies. Oh I love an afternoon nap :-)
Hope that doesn't mean I come to a stand still the rest of the week....'cause I still have some chores outside to do since it rained a fair amount this weekend. Good for the grass, plants, and of course crafting !!
Hope you enjoy the the pics of what I've completed.
First off were a couple of cards. The first one is a Stampin' Up image "Perfect Blend" I love it! The cardstock and DP are also from Stampin'Up.
I really like this stamp image from Deep Red. I just picked up a couple of these stamps and I love them! I really like the detail and this particular one is great for a masculine card.
Now on to sewing. I had picked up this super cute fabric at the "Quilt Store" a little while back when my friend Evelina came to visit. My daughter helps out at her boyfriend's farm with the sheep so I couldn't resist making her a pillow sham from this fabric. Notice her headboard...yes it's a barn door.
And finally some pages from my art journal. The first couple of pages are done with Intense Blocks, Tim Holtz tissue paper, Distress Sprays and texture medium. I just love mixing up different things until I get what I like. Essentially, you can't go wrong 'cause you can cover up whatever you don't like :-)
The last page uses all same items but I also transferred an image of my daughter and her BF using transfer medium. It was pretty neat to use.
The beauty of an art journal is that it allows you to express yourself in so many different ways. It's great and I love to look back and read the different quotes I used. It's another way to record your life.
I hope you enjoy all the different things I've shared today. Have an incredible week !
Hugs,
Diane
