I have been working away in my garden this summer - it feels wonderful to get my hands dirty in the soil. There's something fulfilling to see the beauty that comes from gardening. I'll take some pics soon to share !
This week I am painting my kitchen cupboards and island. I wanted to update the look of the bleached oak that was installed when our home was built. So I'm painting the island a nice rich Coco colour and the cabinets a Pure White with Coco underneath. I'm using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint - of course! so far so good. Once I've got it completed I'll show you the before and after :-)
Just to keep my plate really full I have been working on a quilt and cards of late. The quilt is ready to be machine quilted - as soon as that is done I'll post some pics.
Here are a couple of the cards I made ...
This was a simple one done in my fav shade of blue and added the Fairy design from Graphic 45 - love, love love their designs !!!
This card the stamped phrase is from Unity Stamp Co. and I added the felt flower and pretty green ribbon. It's actually a graduation card for my friend's daughter.
I'm not sure if you experience the same thing or not but I have lots of little scraps of card stock and design paper left over. I decided to use it up by making a cover for my sticky notes. It dresses up the notes sitting on my desk and keep my scraps at bay ! Gotta love that !
What fun things do you have planned this beautiful day? I'm going to work on my cupboards and definitely get out in the sunshine- maybe even get in for a nice swim in the pool.
Have a great day !!
Hugs,
Diane
