Whew... the Christmas rush is over

I was just thinking about how quickly Christmas passes and things resume their normal pattern. I hope your Christmas brought you everything you hoped for.  I had a nice Christmas shared with my family.  My brother surprised everyone by coming in from Saskatchewan so that was extra special.

My daughter's birthday is the 27th so I've always made a point of keeping her birthday separate from Christmas. This year she wanted some new cowboy boots which I got her, in fact she ended up with three different pairs between Christmas and her birthday. It's ok since she just loves western boots.  I made this simple yet cute card for her birthday.
Gotta love a hot pink tractor :-)

I also promised that I would share a couple of other painting projects I was working on with the ASCP (Annie Sloan Chalk Paint)

Here is a laptop desk that I did up for my daughter using the same buck image that I used on the storage box for her room. The desk was originally pine in colour so I just decided that it would look better painted. Whew am I ever glad she liked it because I wouldn't have been able to return it for a refund after I painted it. The colour I chose was cocoa with old white. Sorry about the shine from the light in the picture.  My daughter really liked it so I was glad.

Finally, I thought I'd share a couple of pages from my art journal. I haven't been working on it as much as I would like however now that some of the hectic days have passed I should be able to get in my craft room and be creative !!

I hope you enjoy the sampling of the different things I've been working on.

Have a wonderful New Years !

Hugs,
Diane
