Art Journal

I love my art journal.... I like to paint in it, use sprays and inks, and of course embossing paste and gesso.

I attend an art journal class once a month, with a wonderful group of ladies. We laugh and chuckle together as we create our "messes". There are nights when it all goes well, then there are some where heck we aren't even sure what we intended to create. The beauty is though if we don't like the page - we just paint over and start again :-)

The first picture is of the page I did last Friday, The page is covered with spray inks and some distress stains. The building scape was done using Vive Decor . This is an incredible product that everyone should add to their stash.

This next page is done using distress stains in my two most fav colours - ice blue and soft mauve. Oh be still my heart these have long been favourite colours of mine !
(As a teenager I once knit - more accurately started to knit as I never quite finished it, a sweater in these two colours. I hated the pattern but loved the colours)
Over the stains I used an embossing paste with a floral stencil, then stencilled some letters, stamped some fun images then added the prima girl coloured with my copics.

I love how both of the pages turned out - they are different in styles, which is what I love about art journaling. It's often a reflection of what I'm thinking or feeling as I create it....besides if I don't like it I'll just paint over it !!

Have a wonderful evening,

Hugs,
Diane
